Charles C. Case, Jr., Attorney at Law, Principal
Charles Case Jr. (“Charlie”) graduated from New England School of Law in 1993 and has been a licensed attorney since then. Prior to this, he owned and operated an Insurance Agency for 20 years. He became an attorney out of an increasing request by his clients to further assist them. Since then he has built a thriving law practice.
It has always been Charlie’s greatest desire to help people. To this end, he has devoted his entire legal career exclusively to the areas of estate planning, probate, asset protection and elder law.
Elder law has become a real personal part of Charlie’s practice, particularly since he and his family are currently dealing with these issues in their own lives. He realizes how important it is for someone to not only know the issues and the solutions; but to have a kind and patient spirit in dealing in what can be very highly emotional situations.
Charlie is an excellent public speaker and has had the opportunity to address audiences from far and near. He has developed the remarkable ability to simplify complex concepts and effectively address very personal and sensitive issues in a relaxed manner. This allows his clients to feel completely at ease as he moves them through the complicated and often confusing process from beginning to end.
He is a past president of the Planned Giving Council of Cape Cod, contributing author of 2 books: “Generations” and “Giving”, and board member of several charitable organizations. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Massachusetts Chapter of NAELA. He is also a member of Wealth Counsel, LLC.
If you are looking for an attorney with a compassionate heart and a personal touch, your search may be over. No matter how much planning you may have already completed, the odds are still very good that there is more planning that should be done.
Charlie has been married for 29 years. He has two grown children and two Italian greyhounds. He is an accomplished pianist and has a strong commitment to his family and his church. The highlight of each year for Charlie is vacationing in Nova Scotia on family owned property.

Charlie Case had no idea when he was teaching piano lessons to Tracy Shaughnessy 25 years ago, that he would someday hire her as his law associate. However, he remembered the character he saw in Tracy back then—that of being a quick learner, enthusiastic, honest and hard working. All the qualities he was looking for in an associate. Additionally, Tracy has the ability to show a great deal of empathy and compassion to people, after personally experiencing her mother’s tragic, premature death. She champions her mother’s passion of helping and caring for people.
Tracy is happily married and has strong family ties. When she is not at work, she stays busy gardening and working on home improvement projects. She loves to travel and has a passion for learning about different cultures and people.
